Bookish at Tawas Bay
We’re a small, independent bookstore in the historic Liberty Building in Tawas City, Michigan. Come down to say hello–you’ll find us at 402 West Lake Street (Route 23)–and grab a coffee at the SunnySide Cafe. We’re open Thursday – Monday from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Bring your coffee and browse. Bring your kiddos and read. Come for an event, or host an event here. Our goal is to welcome everyone–locals and visitors, alike–to find their next favorite book, relax in a comfortable space, and build community. We look forward to meeting you!

In mid-December, we’ll be hosting a 250th birthday party for Jane Austen, who was born in December of 1775. I
Starting December 14, we’ll have winter hours of Thursday – Sunday, 10am to 6pm.
Starting in January, we’ll host crafting events. Bring your knitting or choose from our menu of crafting activities. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from the SunnySide Cafe.
